Modern Love

“I know when to go out, I know when to stay in”.

Ah Bowie!

At the moment, we don’t really have a choice, do we? I’m alternating between being okay with being safe and being really sick of it. I sometimes just wanna go for outings, you know? And not to the same 5km patch of world we can walk to. Tomorrow I can take my bike out for a maiden voyage – so we will see how I can expand my orbit a little over the next few weeks.

Tonight’s version of ‘I know when to stay in’ courtesy of Covid-19 contains a housebound adventure, via the magic of a computer game, to the magical land of Wraeclast, the land in which Path of Exile takes place. Alex and I are playing a co-op version, which is lots of fun (especially for me), because I have played a lot of it, and so I am a bit better than him. Alex suggested it as a fun evening activity, because he knew I would enjoy teaching him some of the game’s finer points.

Tonight’s version of Modern Love is co-op playing a computer game. And it’s just great.

Modern loooove, modern looooove.

Our two little characters heading out into the bare game, with nothing but our bow and wand, to set some monsters on fire. We’re nearly at the Act 1 boss, and it’s been so much fun.

An adventure with a difference, I suppose.

Day 9.
