NaNoWriMo: The Big Finish!

It’s been a week or so since the end of November, and I’ve been breathing deep, avoiding my laptop, and basically not thinking about my project at all.

But…

I know I need to look at the scrivener file in due course, but right now I’m in the midst of all the December activities, so I’m enjoying the lack of guilt associated with the need to keep writing, the need to open the file and write just a bit.

As you can see, I was not consistent at all over the course of the month. Clearly the NaNo goal is achievable, but I am all written out now. I’ll need to figure it out and pick it back up to write the last 50+k words to get to the end of the crappy first draft, but I’ll settle for less than half the NaNo volume per month in Jan-Feb to get there.

What’s next?

Going to take the rest of December off – nearly a third into it already as we are. I’ll pick up in the new year with a “touch the manuscript everyday” challenge, and maybe look at getting editing/redrafting from April next year.
